Timberframe Construction
Mink Hill Timber Frame Homes, Inc (www.minkhilltimberframes.com) has been designing and building timber frames since 1996 although the company’s founder has a much more extensive history in commercial and residential construction. Kyle M. Whitehead, President, has a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering and has been building public buildings, homes and barns since 1981. He has been a member of the Timber Framers Guild since 1991 and is a member of the New Hampshire Preservation Alliance.

Their design team and joiners are a small and diverse group who all share a passion for the art and tradition of Timber Framing and a love of the "Community" that sprouts as a result of people coming together to build something special. Mink Hill Timber Frames demonstrate their craft at the annual "Wood Days" festival at the Canterbury Shaker Village in Canterbury, New Hampshire. One year, they taught a timber framing workshop at the Village where the students cut and raised by hand a replicated timber frame barn for the Canterbury Shaker Village Garden Program. For a glimpse of the old ways, come visit them at "Wood Days", always a great time and on the last weekend of June.

Mink Hill Timber Frames is a company specializing in the all aspects of Timber Framing:
  • Building new timber frames for homes, barns and public spaces.

  • Restoring antique timber frame barns.

  • Converting old timber frame barns into homes.

  • Performing structural restoration and repair to existing timber frame homes and barns.

  • Performing timber frame restoration to historic homes and barns.
Their Mission is to design and build traditional fine handcrafted timber frame homes and to rejoice in their work and share in their clients dreams.
