We have used solar power for the last 8 years and if there is one thing we have learned the hard way is there are lots of people who want to get into solar but few who really know how to do it right. Combine this with our remote location and six months of winter and it gets even more challenging to make solar effective.
Our next challenge that we gave to GroSolar is that the Barn/House is to look rustic in appearance and traditional solar panels are not very rustic looking.

Our Team / Our People:
Jeffery Wolfe, CEO – Jeff is a recognized leader in the solar industry and has led the design and installation of some of the largest solar projects in the U.S. He serves on the board of the Solar Electric Industry Association and chairs the PV division. While a partner at the engineering firm Bard, Rao & Athanas, he designed over four million sq. feet of construction and nine MW of power generation. He is a certified professional engineer and has a BSME degree from Cornell University.
Paul Coughlin, Vice President, Distribution and Dealer Sales – Paul built gro’s dominant position in the northeast. He was deeply involved in the solar energy industry growth in California. Prior to gro, he worked at Alternative Solar Products and Astropower and was a leading consultant in the founding of Home Depots’s Solar Energy sales program.
Dorothy Wolfe, General Manager – Dori runs the day-to-day operations of gro. She has strong expertise in non-standard PV and solar heating systems, building systems and energy conservation. She was a senior engineer at Bard, Rao & Athanas Consulting Engineers and has a BSME degree from Cornell.
