Lighting

Doing lighting properly is not as easy as it seems.  We wanted to utilize as much daylighting as possible but where artificial light was needed we wanted to exceed the conservation goals of Energy Star compliant but also we wanted to utilize local products as well.  Jim Stockman our lighting consultant introduced us to Conant Custom Brass to assist us in fullfilling all of these goals.

Conant Custom Brass is combining modern Energy Star compliant electrical components with antique lighting fixtures and custom brass artistry for the Green Woodlands Barn House project.  Attached below are some of their sketches.  Their website is Conantcustombrass.com.
